Chic KiDs
Simplifying Secondhand Shopping for Parents
An intuitive app and website connecting parents to effortlessly buy and sell pre-loved children's clothing
Overview
The Chic Kids mobile app and website were created to provide a seamless experience for parents looking to buy and sell pre-loved children's clothing. My role as the lead UX designer involved conducting comprehensive research, creating user personas, and designing the app's interface to ensure an intuitive user experience. By focusing on both buyers and sellers, we aimed to tackle the typical challenges faced in the resale market.

Solutions
I conducted interviews with 5 parents to explore their experiences with buying and selling children's clothing. Participants were selected based on their recent involvement in resale activities, ensuring a diverse representation of challenges faced across different demographics. The key insights from these interviews revealed that parents consistently find it difficult to buy high-quality used clothes for their children, and the entire resale process is often annoying and cumbersome.

Freelance Project
For my UX portfolio, I am highlighting a project where I designed a marketing email for The Beauty Room, a local beauty clinic. The primary goal was to create a compelling and easy-to-read email to incentivize existing customers to book their next appointment.
Understanding the user and business needs
My process began with a thorough analysis of both the business's needs and the target user. The Beauty Room needed a way to re-engage clients and promote their services in a professional, branded manner. The target users were their current customers, who are busy individuals interested in self-care but may need a gentle reminder to book their next service. I focused on making the user experience as smooth as possible—from opening the email to get all the information about the beauty clinic in one email.
UX/UI Design Process
I started by wireframing different layouts to determine the most effective structure. The final design prioritizes clarity and a clear hierarchy. I used The Beauty Room's brand colors and fonts to ensure a consistent look and feel.
The final email design includes the following key components:
Outcome
The final design for The Beauty Room's marketing email provides a professional and user-friendly experience. It serves as a great example of how UX principles can be applied to marketing campaigns to drive user engagement and achieve business goals. This project showcases my ability to understand user needs, translate them into a clear and effective design, and deliver a solution that directly supports business objectives.
